# Installation Guide

### 🔑How do you redeem your Key?

#### Preparation

Make sure you're on Windows 10 or 11, version **20H2 or newer**. Custom, modified, Insider and LTSC builds of Windows are not supported.

Disable **Real-time protection** in Windows Defender. It turns itself back on after every restart, so check it each time before you play.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
Disable **Memory Integrity** (Windows Security > Device security > Core isolation details) and **Control Flow Guard (CFG)** (Windows Security > App & browser control > Exploit protection settings), then restart your PC.

Uninstall or disable any anti-virus, such as Kaspersky, Malwarebytes, Norton, Avast or McAfee.

Close **Riot Vanguard**, **BattlEye** and **Easy Anti-Cheat**, plus any overlays or boosters like Medal, MSI Afterburner, RivaTuner, Reshade and RAM cleaners.

Never have Cheat Engine, x64dbg or IDA open while the loader is running. This can get your loader account banned.

#### First start

Before downloading the software, you will need to disable your anti-virus. This is due to the nature of the software and how it interacts with your game. All products sold by TGModz are completely safe and do not contain any form of malicious code.

Go to the [Klar website](https://klar.gg/loader/) and download the loader. If your browser says the file is unsafe, choose **Keep**. This is a false positive.

Right-click the loader and choose **Run as administrator**.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
Click **SIGN UP** and register an account by creating a username & password. This is a separate account from the Klar forum, and it gets locked to your PC.

Select **Fortnite**, enter your license key provided after purchase from TGModz in the box at the bottom right, then press **START**. Your key's time starts the moment you press START.

Close the side window, click **Fortnite** again and press the full-width **START** button to inject. Launch Fortnite from the Epic Games Launcher and enjoy!

#### Good to know

* **Using another spoofer?** Load it after Klar, never before.
* **Want to inject again?** Restart your PC first, otherwise your loader account will need a HWID reset.
* **"HWID mismatch" error?** This happens after a Windows reinstall, a Secure Boot change or new hardware. Contact TGModz support and we'll get it reset.
* **"vgk.sys" error?** Riot Vanguard is still running. Close or uninstall it and try again.
